Who we are now

DataShredder is not simply an electronics recycler.

We are a secure technology retirement partner. When a company closes an office, consolidates a data center, migrates to the cloud or refreshes a fleet of machines, someone has to unrack it, account for it, move it safely, destroy the data on it, recover whatever value is left and recycle the rest — then prove all of it happened.

That is the whole project, and it is what we do. Our traditional shredding and recycling services continue exactly as before, underneath a team that can now handle considerably larger work.

What we can put in writing

We publish only what we can stand behind. If a requirement is not listed here, ask us and we will tell you plainly whether we meet it.

NAID AAA Certified

Our destruction operation is NAID AAA Certified — the information destruction industry's audited standard.

Veteran-founded, family-run since 2005

Founded with a single truck and one employee, DataShredder remains family-run and locally operated in Framingham, MA.

Chain of custody

Equipment is tracked from the point of pickup through destruction or recycling, with documentation to match.

Secure transportation

Assets are moved in our own vehicles by our own personnel — not handed to a third-party freight broker.

Serialized inventory & reporting

Where a project requires it, assets are captured by make, model and serial number and reported back to you.

Certificates of destruction & recycling

Final documentation is issued for the destruction and responsible recycling performed on your project.

Chosen after a security audit

Harvard University selected DataShredder to shred their hard drives and media after a strict security audit.

Environmental responsibility

End-of-life electronics are processed through responsible recycling channels rather than landfill.

Tell us about your project
